About Alexander Chemical
An industry innovator, Alexander Maley founded Alexander Chemical Corporation in 1950. His mission was simple – to provide the best chemical products and expert services that the industry has to offer. A lot has changed over the years that we have been in business, but one thing that has remained is our deep commitment to our customers and their long term success. We are also active members of the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD, formerly the NACD) and the Chlorine Institute.
Carus Group acquired Alexander Chemical in 2010, which has allowed us to expand our product line and services even further to meet the needs of our customers. With our mission, vison, and core values at the forefront, we continue to be strategically focused on serving the industry for another 100 years.
In 2025, as a specialty division of Alexander Chemical, Alexander Cylinder Solutions was born, built upon a foundation of more than 75 years of pioneering product and service innovations in the chemical industry. Through our many years of experience gained from performing cylinder maintenance, certification, and management services at scale, the team at Alexander Chemical recognized a very real need in the marketplace to combine our collective industry knowledge with the latest in today’s available technology to create new standards for both the quality and reliability of cylinder testing, as well the efficiency of service turnaround times.
Our investment in this brand new, $14 million dollar state of the art maintenance facility demonstrates our commitment to blazing a trail for a whole new generation of cylinder refurbishment, certification, and management services.
Amidst these continued enhancements, one constant at Alexander Chemical that will never change is our mission to be a long-term, reliable partner in our customers’ success.
