As we settle into 2026, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on what an extraordinary year 2025 was at Alexander Chemical.
Last year was defined by meaningful milestones, strategic progress, community impact, and a continued commitment to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable chemical solutions for our customers.
2025 marked 75 years since our founding in 1950, a milestone that reflects decades of dedication to serving the water purification, industrial, and municipal markets across the Midwest and beyond.
We would not have achieved this without the trust and support of our customers, partners, employees, and communities. Your confidence in Alexander Chemical has guided us every step of the way.
Below are a few highlights that made 2025 such a memorable year.
Celebrating 75 Years & Launching Alexander Cylinder Solutions
We commemorated our 75th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new $18 million Alexander Cylinder Solutions facility.
This state-of-the-art operation expands our capabilities in cylinder inspection, maintenance, testing, storage, and full lifecycle management, allowing us to deliver faster turnaround times, enhanced safety, and smarter service programs for our customers.
The celebration brought together employees, customers, partners, and local leaders, reinforcing the core values that have shaped Alexander Chemical for decades: consistency, follow-through, and deep investment in the communities we serve.
It was especially meaningful to mark this milestone while laying the groundwork for even stronger specialized services in the years ahead.
This expansion, coupled with the recent investments in chemical manufacturing and new partnerships developed across North America, has helped transform Alexander Chemical from a regional chemical distributor into an international manufacturing, distribution, and service organization.
We have broadened our product offerings through increased manufacturing expertise and expanded our reach across North America through our integrated logistics arm, Circle Transport, and key national partnerships. In 2026, I am excited about continuing our growth in Canada and Mexico.
Advancing Sustainability Through Strategic Partnerships
Another major highlight of last year was signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Tidal Metals to market, package, and distribute high-purity chlorine produced through their innovative magnesium-from-seawater process.
This partnership supports the industry’s shift toward cleaner, domestic, and more environmentally responsible production, especially timely as the U.S. EPA reaffirms the asbestos phase-out.
By combining Tidal Metals’ technology with our expertise in safe handling, packaging, and distribution, we are helping strengthen a more sustainable supply chain for essential chemicals. This collaboration also allows us to enter new markets through chlorine repackaging and bleach manufacturing.
As those operations become established, I anticipate the need for a second Alexander Cylinder Solutions location to support our expanding chlorine gas cylinder fleet and additional cylinder customers in that region.
We were proud to see this work recognized in Chemical & Engineering News, highlighting how partnerships like this can drive meaningful progress in sustainable manufacturing.
Giving Back and Building Team Spirit
Beyond our business achievements, 2025 reaffirmed our commitment to people and community.
Our team once again exceeded prior years in sponsoring and matching gifts through Angel Tree and foster care programs, along with generous employee donations to local food banks.
Throughout the year, we celebrated numerous employee work anniversaries, some approaching 40 years with Alexander Chemical.
We also welcomed new team members into the organization. While I am proud of the investments we continue to make in our facilities, I am even more excited about the talented associates who have joined our team.
Their experience and perspectives help us serve our customers better and challenge us to continue innovating.
We also ended 2025 by reimagining our holiday celebration. Instead of hosting an offsite event, we shut down the plant for half a day and gathered in our new training center for a company-wide celebration.
As always, the company supported Angel Tree and local food pantries. We capped off the event with our first annual ugly sweater contest, a small but meaningful way to celebrate together. These moments remind me that success is measured not only by what we produce, but by the positive impact we create together.
Looking at 2026
2025 was a year of reflection, growth, and momentum. This year, we are stronger, more connected, and more focused than ever on delivering safe, high-quality solutions while embracing innovation and responsibility.
