A New Headquarters Built for Collaboration & Growth to Better Serve Our Customers

For more than 75 years, Alexander Chemical has never stopped asking the question “How can we best service our customers?”  

The opening of our new headquarters building is a clear reflection of that philosophy. We view it as an investment in people, collaboration, and infrastructure designed to strengthen service, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships.  

Located on the company’s La Porte, Indiana campus, the facility officially opened in May 2025, replacing a World War II–era administrative building.  

Built from the foundation up, the 10,000-square-foot, two-story building brings Alexander Chemical’s leadership and core office teams together under one roof. This allows us to not only serve the needs of our customers today, but also allow room for future growth.

Bringing Critical Teams Together  

Alexander Chemical’s CEO, executive leadership, sales, human resources, finance, customer service, and purchasing teams now work side by side in a shared environment that encourages real-time collaboration. That proximity leads directly to faster decision-making, clearer communication, and quicker responses to customer needs. 

“When your sales, customer service, and purchasing teams are working together in real time, it changes everything,” notes Chris Fairchild, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We’re able to anticipate customer needs sooner, act faster, and coordinate more effectively.” 

By centralizing teams and improving internal workflows, the new headquarters has helped Alexander Chemical increase operational efficiency across the organization. Enhanced collaboration between departments allows the company to better anticipate demand, and manage inventory, particularly when shorter lead times are required. 

These efficiencies translate directly into improved reliability, stronger communication, and a more agile supply partner for customers navigating an increasingly dynamic marketplace.

A Hub for Training, Collaboration, and Partnership 

The headquarters also includes a modern training center designed to support both employees and customers. The space accommodates up to 50–75 attendees and is used for monthly employee safety training, customer seminars, and product education sessions. 

Because the facility is located at the plant, customers can pair classroom instruction with hands-on facility tours, offering deeper insight into material handling, safety practices, and operational processes. 

In addition to the training center, the building features a large boardroom and multiple huddle spaces that support meetings with customers, suppliers, and partners, reinforcing Alexander Chemical’s commitment to transparency and long-term collaboration. 

Supporting Growth Today & Tomorrow 

The new headquarters was designed not only to meet current needs, but to support continued growth. With space to accommodate additional team members, the building positions Alexander Chemical to scale without compromising service or efficiency. 

Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its team next year with the addition of an Inside Sales Representative and an IT Specialist, roles that will further strengthen customer support, system reliability, and responsiveness.  

In addition, relocating office teams also freed up space within the production plant, creating opportunities for future operational improvements and capacity expansion, another long-term benefit for customers.

Much like the investments in technology and services highlighted during Alexander Chemical’s 75th anniversary, the new headquarters reflects the company’s belief that making the most of infrastructure leads to better outcomes for customers and the community.
