This year marks a proud milestone for Alexander Chemical Corporation, 75 years of service, innovation, and partnership. What began in 1950 as a regional chemical distributor has grown into a trusted leader in chemical manufacturing, asset management, and logistics solutions across North America.
In October 2025, Alexander Chemical celebrated this historic anniversary in La Porte, Indiana, alongside the ribbon cutting for its newest investment, the $18 million Alexander Cylinder Solutions facility. The event brought together company leaders, employees, customers, and local officials to honor a shared legacy and look toward the future.
Among the distinguished guests were Indiana State Senator Mike Bohacek and Indiana State Representative Jim Pressel, representatives from U.S. Senator Todd Young’s office, La Porte County officials, and members of the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership (LEAP), all celebrating the company’s commitment to innovation, job creation, and local growth.
Alexander Cylinder Solutions – A New Era of Innovation and Investment
The launch of Alexander Cylinder Solutions represents a defining moment in the company’s evolution, expanding beyond manufacturing and distribution into a full-service leader in gas cylinder maintenance and lifecycle management.
The new facility features advanced automation, robotics, and non-destructive examination (NDE) testing technologies, setting a new industry benchmark. Services include gas evacuation, washing, hydrostatic and direct expansion testing, ultrasonic examination testing, powder coating, valve services, and logistics support through the company’s Circle Transport Inc. division.
President and CEO Rob Davidson shared how this investment builds on decades of progress:
“Over the past three years, we’ve invested a total of over $35 million and created six new positions to transform Alexander Chemical from a distribution platform into a company with strong manufacturing, service, and logistics capabilities. The launch of Alexander Cylinder Solutions celebrates both our rich history and continued growth.”
This milestone not only underscores Alexander Chemical’s industry leadership but also its forward-looking vision, investing in technology and infrastructure that will shape the next 75 years of excellence.

Connie Gramarossa, President and Commissioner of La Porte County, echoed that gratitude:
