Alexander Chemical Corporation Celebrates 75 Years in Business and the Launch of $18 Million Alexander Cylinder Solutions Facility
LA PORTE, Ind. – October 2025 – Alexander Chemical Corporation, a pioneering leader in chemical distribution and manufacturing, is celebrating its 75th anniversary and the ribbon cutting of its new $18 million Alexander Cylinder Solutions division, dedicated to advanced gas cylinder maintenance, lifecycle management, and logistics services.
The celebration drew together company leadership, employees, customers, key suppliers, and numerous distinguished guests, including:
- Indiana State Senator Mike Bohacek (District 8).
- Indiana State Representative Jim Pressel (District 20).
- Kelly Anthony from the Office of U.S. Senator Todd Young.
- Connie Gramarossa, President and Commissioner of La Porte County.
- Matt Reardon, EDFP, Executive Director and RDC Coordinator, La Porte County Office of Economic Development; the La Porte County Commissioners.
- Bert Cook, Executive Director of the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership (LEAP).
- Erik Nelson, Workforce Development Coordinator, LEAP.
Speaking at the ceremony, Matt Reardon recognized Alexander Chemical’s commitment to innovation and follow-through.
“It’s companies like Alexander that do what they say. They continue to look for innovation in a tough marketplace, in a niche, to compete both locally and globally. So, when the company says, ‘We’re going to create more jobs,’ it’s important to the elected officials in the room.”
Local officials echoed those sentiments, emphasizing the company’s long-standing roots in the region and its decision to continue investing locally.
Connie Gramarossa noted: “We really appreciate the employees and the company, and the idea that you’re staying here in LaPorte [County].”
Indiana State Senator Jim Pressel also praised the company’s investment, highlighting its impact on regional growth and pride.
“Alexander has a choice. They could certainly go somewhere else. But because of their investments, we can grow our communities. That is what is so important. I appreciate you choosing Indiana and choosing LaPorte County.”
