Alexander Chemical’s 2023 Year In Review

What a year 2023 was!

As we look back over the past 12 months, we glow with pride over our plant employees, truck drivers, and administrative staff. This year brought a tremendous amount of growth to Alexander through new and existing accounts.

This growth tested our people, processes, and systems. However, we are now stronger than ever, and prepared for all that 2024 will bring!

I believe we may have set a record for the number of customers we provided free training to, through our three safety seminars and multiple on-site classes. Here are some highlights.

  • Taught operators about the risks of Chlorine, Sulfur Dioxide, Bleach, Sodium Bisulfite, and Hydrofluorsilicic Acid.
  • Provided hands-on training for both A and B Kits, as well as information about the safe handling of the chemicals, how to respond to leaks and spills, and what PPE we feel the industry should adopt.

This year, we plan to add more regional safety seminars. Look for us in Bolingbrook, South Bend, Cleveland, as well as a few more locations to be announced later.

In 2023, Alexander invested millions of dollars in our plant and logistics fleet, Circle Transportation. In addition, we added a new plant and vehicle maintenance shop on our property, new Bleach and Hydrofluorsilicic acid tank storage, and multiple new tractors and trailers.

We also broke ground on the amazing new Headquarters and Training building at our plant. This addition allows us to grow our administrative staff, and we are confident the facility will attract the best talent in the industry through its inspirational work environment.

This year, Alexander will continue our capital investment strategy, by adding even more production capabilities, capacity, and automation.

During the past 12 months, Chris Fairchild (VP of Sales & Marketing) and I attended multiple association meetings. We strengthened our relationships with producers and suppliers, participated in analysis of current market dynamics, and examined factors that will affect our industry for the next decade. With this knowledge, we have built more partnerships, and expanded our supply chain to ensure our strength for the road ahead.

We look forward to another successful, safe, and prosperous year with our employees, customers, and suppliers. Our team feels blessed to have these great relationships, and know they will continue to grow in number and depth.

Sincerely,

Robert Davidson
